What’s your project called?

My project is called ClearVoid. It’s all about blending digital art with immersive experiences. With ClearVoid, I want to create stunning visual worlds beyond what’s real. It’s like stepping into a place where bright colors and detailed patterns mix to take you on a fantastic trip.

The name “ClearVoid” captures this idea of having clarity in a space. Clarity is sharpness and detail in visuals. The void is the endless ways to imagine and express ourselves in the digital world.

What country are you from?

I come from the United States. Living there, I’ve seen many different cultures and art, which have influenced how I create. America’s mix of cultures and cool tech has given me many ideas for making art in new and exciting ways. Growing up there has helped me get better at what I do, and I get inspiration from all the different things that make America what it is.

Which scene do you most identify with?

I love electronic music and visual arts. They’re all about mixing creativity, tech, and expression, which connects with my passion. Electronic music’s thumping beats and cool sounds inspire me when I make art. In this scene, I meet others who are into the same stuff. We’re all about trying new things, using different tools, and giving people fantastic art. It’s a buzzing, friendly place where I’m always excited to try new ideas and improve my work.

Briefly describe your visual vision.

I love bright, full-color visuals. I aim to create captivating worlds in which patterns move with the music, making you feel like you’re in another place. Each design I make is meant to amaze and inspire you. It should make you feel like you’re exploring something new. I want to show people how unique digital art can be and make them see how creative we can get with it.

What inspired you to become a visual artist, and how do you stay creative?

I’ve always been fascinated by how art and technology combine. When I was young, I loved playing with digital tools to create cool stuff with light and shapes. This interest led me to focus on projection mapping and multimedia art, where I could show off my ideas.

To keep my creativity flowing, I find inspiration from many things, including nature, music, and other artists’ work. Nature’s beauty gives me endless ideas for shapes and colors, while music helps set the mood for my art.

How did you start as a visual artist?

I started my journey as a visual artist by getting into projection mapping and multimedia art. It all began with my love of using digital tech, which I use to make great visuals. I spent loads of time trying out different projection mapping tricks. I learned to use light and space to turn regular surfaces into fabulous artworks.

As I got better at projection mapping, I found my style. I looked for chances to show my work, like in local exhibitions, teaming up with other artists, or joining festivals and events. Each project helped me get better and make a name for myself.

Can you talk about a project you’re proud of and how you overcame challenges?

My art journey involves creating unique experiences combining cool visuals and bright colors. I’ve been lucky to work on many big projects worldwide, and I’m proud of one. I partnered with Artpoint and b2b2b with Glass Crane and Arkitect for Caspa. They used my art on screens everywhere. It’s been awesome sharing my art with people everywhere and trying new things.

Which kinds of events have you been part of?

I’ve also participated in famous events, including the Illuminus Festival and Boston Cyberarts’ Art on the Marquee. I’ve made projection art for big music acts and attended festivals like Envision and Infrasound. I love coming up with new ideas and creating art that wows people all over the globe.

How do you start a new visual project?

When I start a new visual project, I think deeply about the theme and how I want it to look. This means understanding the main ideas and feelings I want people to get from the artwork. Then, I research to get inspired and know what I want to do. Next, I plan everything carefully, thinking about what I need, how long it will take, and how I’ll do it. I try out different techniques and tools to see what works best.

What design tools do you use, and how do you keep up with trends?

I use various tools to make my ideas real in my creative work. I rely heavily on Adobe Creative Suite, which has loads of software for drawing, designing, and editing videos. I also use special software for projection mapping, which helps me create excellent visual experiences in real places.

What’s your style and preferred mediums?

My art style is all about being bright and full of detailed patterns. I mainly focus on projection mapping. It lets me turn regular surfaces into excellent art displays using light. I use projection mapping to make experiences. In them, light and color move together, making excellent shows. They are different from everyday art.

How do you stay updated on design trends and tech?

I keep up with design trends and tech in several ways. I read blogs and join forums online to learn from others. Going to conferences lets me meet people and hear different ideas. I’m always learning and trying new tools and methods, which helps me stay flexible in the ever-changing tech world.

What themes do you explore in your art?

In my art, I like to explore big ideas about being human. I often focus on moments of change and growth and how we’re all connected to nature. I also want to think about how technology fits into the natural world. These ideas give much room for thought, making people think about life and the world around them.

How do you collaborate with non-designers?

Working with people who aren’t designers is about talking well and respecting each other. We need to find things we agree on and understand each other’s ideas to make a plan that works for everyone. We must listen and be flexible. This way, we can use our skills to create something great together. And it will make us all happy.

Have you ever compromised your vision for a client?

When working with clients, there are times when we have to make compromises. However, I always keep my vision’s main idea while meeting the client’s needs. This means finding a middle ground between what I want and the project’s needs practically. I talk openly with clients, explaining my ideas and listening to them. We will talk and negotiate together. We aim to agree on something that works for everyone and reflects my artistic goals.

Do you do multimedia design like video or animation?

Multimedia design is a big part of my creative work. I use video and animation to make my projects more enjoyable. Video helps me tell stories in exciting ways, and animation makes things more interactive and fun. I use these elements to create environments that grab attention and feel special, making my art more powerful.

How does contemporary art differ from traditional?

Contemporary art differs from old-style art because it’s all about trying new things and going beyond the ordinary. Artists use modern technology and unusual materials to make different art. They’re always trying out new ideas, creating exciting art that makes you think in new ways.

Contemporary art isn’t stuck in old ways. Unlike old-fashioned art, it’s constantly changing and growing, which makes it interesting.
