TAS Visuals, or as some call it, The Adventurous Spark, really knows how to captivate people worldwide with his unique digital artistry. From music festivals to mystical journeys, Hailing from Austria, TAS Visuals has made a name by taking viewers on these incredible, mind-bending journeys filled with vibrant, mystical, and hypnotic visuals. Their work is about creating a unique visual language embodying the imaginative psychedelic movement and motion.

With over a lot of experience and more than 200 live performances, TAS Visuals has earned the title of a master in their art form and a visionary in digital art and projection mapping.

We are delighted to talk to Georg, a visual artist who has captivated audiences with mind-bending live visuals and mappings. What is the name of your project, and which country are you from?

My project is called TAS Visuals, also known as The Adventurous Spark. I’m based in Austria.

 

Which scene are you most associated with?

I’m most associated with the digital art and projection mapping scene, particularly in live performances at music festivals.

Describe your vision when crafting visuals in short.

When crafting visuals, my vision revolves around creating mesmerizing, Huge experiences that transport viewers on mind-bending journeys filled with vivid, mystical, and hypnotic visuals.

 

What inspired you to become a Visual Artist, and how do you stay creatively inspired?

My inspiration stems from a deep passion for exploring the imaginative world and pushing the boundaries of visual expression. I stay creatively inspired by immersing myself in diverse art forms and nature and collaborating with other creatives. I also like to draw and have unique pieces of original art and clothing currently on sale in my digital shop.

 

Can you share your journey as a visual artist? How did it all start?

My journey as a visual artist began over a decade ago, sparked by a fascination with digital art and its potential to create transformative experiences. It started with small projects and gradually evolved into larger-scale performances at festivals worldwide.

 

What Projects and Events have you worked on?

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of showcasing TAS Visuals at esteemed festivals like the Modem Festival in Croatia, the Monegros Festival in Spain, and the Airbeat One Festival in Germany, among others. Each event presents a unique opportunity to push creative boundaries and craft unforgettable moments for audiences worldwide.

 

Can you elaborate on the significance of partnering with fellow artists and organizations?

Collaborating with fellow artists and organizations has been instrumental in expanding the horizons of TAS Visuals. From working with renowned figures like Alex Grey and Tipper to partnering with entities like MTV, each collaboration enriches our creative tapestry and brings forth innovative perspectives that elevate our work.

How do you approach a new visual project?

I approach a new visual project by first understanding the client’s vision and the audience’s expectations. From there, I develop concepts, storyboard ideas, create drafts, gather feedback, and refine the visuals until we achieve the desired outcome.

 

How do you keep up with the latest design trends and technologies?

I have extensive experience with various design software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and projection mapping software like MadMapper. I keep up with the latest trends and technologies by attending workshops and conferences and staying active in online communities.

 

How do you adapt your visual style to suit musical genres or festival atmospheres?

Adapting my visual style to suit different musical genres or atmospheres at festivals involves understanding the mood and energy of the music and creating visuals that complement and enhance the overall experience.

 

What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them?

You’ll find diverse projects throughout my portfolio, but I’m particularly proud of my collaboration with the Modem Festival in Croatia. The challenge here was creating visuals that synchronized seamlessly with the music and atmosphere of the festival. Still, we overcame this challenge through meticulous planning and experimentation and delivered an unforgettable experience.

 

How do you engage with your audience on platforms?

Platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Patreon provide a unique opportunity to connect with our audience on a deeper level. Through live performances, videos, and exclusive content, we aim to offer fans an immersive experience that mirrors the magic of our live shows, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for digital art.

What does the future hold for TAS Visuals?

As TAS Visuals continues to evolve, our commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology remains unwavering. We aspire to create unforgettable experiences for audiences worldwide through mesmerizing live performances or innovative collaborations. What advice would you give aspiring visual artists looking to establish themselves in the industry?

My advice would be to stay true to your unique artistic vision, continuously hone your skills, seek out collaborations and opportunities for growth, and never stop experimenting and pushing the boundaries of your creativity.
