What is Fractalized?
Fractalized is the creative team behind Psychedelic Rave. According to the official site, it plans each show a year in advance, with custom stage designs, decor and special effects, and it has grown over ten years from an underground night in Rotterdam into an international brand, hosting more than 2,000 people at indoor festivals and curating stages at other events. Alongside Psychedelic Rave, the team runs Machine Elves, Kaleidoscopic, Altered Perception and its own Fractalized parties.
Who is Richard LeJeune?
Richard LeJeune is a veteran Dutch visual artist and promoter who has worked with his team on Fractalized for about a decade. In our interview he said the team hosts roughly ten events a year, with Psychedelic Rave as the flagship, and that his visual work has supported other festivals, including the much-missed Freqs of Nature.
On the economics of running events at this scale, he told us: “yeah, it’s kind of a fight to keep on going on this scale, as costs go up like crazy every year, the crowd does not want to spend more, but we do this with the love for the music and culture in mind.”
What does Fractalized offer beyond parties?
The team also sells production services to other organisers. The official services page lists event visuals with projections and LED displays, video mapping that turns surfaces into animated canvases, decoration such as UV-reactive backdrops and art installations, production covering sound and lighting design, and event setup. In our interview, Richard said the 3D animations are produced in-house rather than recycled from stock visuals, which is what sets the team’s stages apart.

- Kaleidoscopic by Psychedelic Rave, 10 October 2026: the third edition at De Fik Garden in Amsterdam, 23:00 to 08:00.
- Machine Elves, 24 October 2026: at Skatecentre Waalhalla in Nijmegen, 23:00 to 06:00, with a main stage and a Deep Space stage.
- Fractalized, 7 November 2026: a daytime party at De Jungle in Wormerveer, 16:00 to 01:00, with Psytrance Floor, Forest Dungeon and House Cantina areas.
- Psychedelic Rave, 28 November 2026: an indoor trance festival on the 10th floor of Maassilo in Rotterdam, 22:00 to 08:00, across three stages.

The three stages are Psychedelic Rave, Distorted Perception and Deep Space, and the official lineup is:

How does Fractalized approach safety and inclusivity?
The organisers publish a dancefloor manifesto on their vision page.
