How did Rhizome Creative begin its journey?
Rhizome Creative started as a group of artists and tech experts who love making new things and working together. We’ve worked on many projects. For example, we helped with the FLAME Festival and designed the Bonnaroo Music Festival stages. We’re good at making sculptures, moving graphics, and setting up giant screens for 3D Visual effects.
We’re in Brooklyn, New York, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Miami, Florida, but we want to connect with people everywhere and help creativity grow worldwide. We aim to bring people together and make cool stuff happen, just like the roots of a rhizome spread and connect.
What types of projects have You worked on?
We’ve worked on many different projects, which shows how flexible and creative we are. For example, we’ve helped with the FLAME Festival and made cool stages for events like the Bonnaroo Music Festival. We’ve also worked on art projects with others, like the Envision Festival in Costa Rica and the Eclipse Festival in Oregon.

Which famous festivals have You worked on?
We’ve teamed up with big festivals, showing we’re part of the worldwide creative scene. For instance, our stage design amazed people at the Bonnaroo Music Festival, which is four days of music, movies, and performances. We projected onto The Reliquarium’s spiderbird stage at the Wild Woods Music Festival, giving everyone there an unforgettable time.

How do you create visual art?
We use many methods to make cool visual art, including fancy design software, special techniques for moving graphics, and high-tech projection mapping. It all starts with brainstorming ideas and artistic concepts. Then, we use top-notch software like Adobe Creative Suite and Cinema 4D to ensure our visuals look amazing and work perfectly.
We use motion graphics to make our creations move and flow smoothly, making them more exciting and immersive. Then, we use extraordinary projection mapping tech to put our visuals into real places, making regular places feel amazing. By doing all this, we aim to create incredible art that blows people away.
What made you fall in love with visual art?
We love being creative and working with people who feel the same way worldwide. We keep finding new ways to make art, teaming up with talented people, and getting involved in the creative scene.
What are your favorite projects, and what challenges did you face?
We worked on many projects. But, a favorite was teaming up with House of YES, Hybrid Movement Company, and Little Cinema for the Bonnaroo Music Festival. One big challenge was ensuring our design perfectly fit the festival’s outdoor surroundings.
Another project we loved was working on the Elements Festival in 2017. We teamed up with The Reliquarium to make incredible stages in Lakewood, Pennsylvania, and the Bronx, NYC. Ensuring our designs looked great and worked well outdoors was tricky, but seeing our creations come alive at the festival was rewarding.

How do you start and finish a new visual project?
When we start a new visual project, we brainstorm ideas and designs and discuss them with our clients or event planners. Then, we carefully bring our vision to life, paying close attention to all the details until it’s perfect.
What design software and tools do you use?
We use different design software and tools. For live visuals and projection mapping, we use Resolume. For motion graphics and design, we use Adobe Creative Suite. We also learn about new trends by attending events and meeting other creative people.
What’s your art style and favorite mediums?
Our art style is all about being flexible and exciting. We do everything from excellent projection mapping to detailed sculptures. We love trying different ways to make art, always coming up with new and unique experiences for people to enjoy.

Yes, we have adapted our vision to accommodate client needs while maintaining the integrity of our artistic vision. We approach these situations with flexibility, open communication, and commitment. We aim to find creative solutions that satisfy both parties.
Do you work with multimedia, like video editing or animation?
Mixing different media types is a big part of our process. We combine videos and animations to create inspiring experiences for people to enjoy.
